New collections: spring 2002 (I)
Since we started creating our own collections at Art Centre, we present new collections twice a year. Today we would like to show you the new collections, recently created exclusively by Mercè Juvés, artist, jeweller and founder of Art Centre.
Juvés has been inspired by nature, classical style and abstract contemporary art, playing with irregular shapes, volume and characteristic textures. She works with 925 silver to which she sometimes applies gold plating, or other finishes that add colour variation to the collections.
As always, each collection consists of various models of pendants, bracelets, earrings and rings, some larger and some smaller.
They are small pieces of art that you can wear in your everyday life, as well as for special occasions.
Pieces in 925 silver with a black finish, combined with white silver and gold plated silver.
The defining characteristic of this collection are the small notes of colour, like small stones placed on a disc of irregular texture, which in turn is mounted on top of another disc of contrasting colour. It is a collection that is very easy to combine, with pieces of different sizes, so you can easily find the style you feel most comfortable with.
925 silver collection that combines small pieces in white, black and gold-plated finish, square and triangular in shape. They have a certain undulation at the tips, as if they were made with sheets of paper that are peeling off. In some pieces, a small diamond is inlaid in the centre, which stands out against the base colour of the piece.
It is a collection with a timeless style, discreet and elegant, that looks very original on the wearer.
What do you think about the ones we have shown you today?
